Frequently Asked Questions

What does my child wear to class?

 For safety and comfort:
·         Girls should wear a leotard or shorts and a t-shirt
·         Boys should wear gym shorts and a t-shirt
·         Bare feet in the gym is required
·         Long hair must be pulled back
·         No jewelry, gum or food is permitted in the gym

What do I need to bring?

It is recommended that you bring a water bottle clearly marked with your child's name. At this time, our water fountain will be closed. All equipment that your child will need we have at the gym.

How do I register my child?

At this time you may register online or by phone only. We cannot hold/reserve spaces or accept registrations without payment. For assistance, please email us info@glendongymnastics.ca.

How does payment work?

Full payment for classes is due at the time of registration to secure your spot in the class. For those who register online, fees will be processed through the office once they have been reviewed.  To view your transaction history, please log in to your customer portal once your account has been set up (after the first registration).

What is the Gymnastics Ontario fee?

The Gymnastics Ontario Fee is an annual non-refundable mandatory fee covering insurance and administration of programming. It is applied once during the training year – July 1 to June 30.

What is your policy on refunds?

Refunds are offered for enrollment cancellations within the first week of classes. Refund requests must be made in writing with one week's notice to receive a refund for the balance of classes. Refunds are subject to a $20 administration fee. The mandatory Gymnastics Ontario Fee is non-refundable.

What if the weather is bad?

We rarely cancel classes, but in the event that this needs to happen, we will post weather updates under the “News and Events” section of our website and on our Facebook page.  Please note:  we are unable to schedule make up classes for those that are cancelled due to inclement weather.

Do you offer makeup classes or refunds for classes missed?

Make-up classes are not available in order to maintain coach to student ratios. Refunds are not issued to missed classes.

Do you offer trial classes before registration?

Unfortunately, due to insurance and liability issues, we do not offer trial classes. Each athlete that enters our gym is required to pay a yearly Gymnastics Ontario Fee, for insurance and liability reasons, along with their registration. Without having paid this yearly fee, children are not allowed to enter the gym in case of an injury or accident.

How do I know when my gymnast is ready to move up?

Gymnasts are continuously being evaluated during their classes. Each gymnast will progress at his or her own rate. We move up our students when they individually have mastered the skills for that level.

How can my child move to the competitive team?

Our competitive team is selected through an individual assessment and invitation only. Our coaches keep a sharp eye out for students who demonstrate an aptitude for competitive gymnastics. For specific information please feel free to speak to contact the office who will point you to the appropriate individual.

When do I get my Receipt?

Receipts (Statements) are available at any time online through your family account.  If you need a receipt, please let us know and we can print or email a copy to you.  You can also view your transaction history by logging into your family account through our customer portal.

If you have any other questions, please feel free to contact the office.
