COVID-19 Safety Protocols
Glendon Gymnastics is committed to providing a safe and healthy training environment for our athletes, families, and staff.
As we return to training after the disruption of the COVID-19 outbreak, every decision, policy, and procedure is made in the interest of all participant’s safety and health, both physical and mental. Everything about this virus, its spread, government guidelines, social responses, the needs of our families, and the economic impact have been in constant change and thus, our plans and procedures will be fluid and adaptable. We will continue to monitor and adjust our plans and responses as the situation evolves. We will do everything we can to meet and exceed, provincial, federal and our sport’s governing bodies guidelines, while also minimizing interruption of ‘normal life’ as much as possible.
Our health and safety protocols, procedures and polices have been developed following the guidance of Gymnastics Ontario, our provincial governing body, the Province of Ontario and Regional Public Health. In 2020 and 2021, both our Safety Plan and facility underwent inspections by the Region of Waterloo Public Health, fully passing their Ambassador Program assessment and receiving a very positive response.
When you register for a class or camp you will be required to complete the Informed Consent and Assumption of Risk and Declaration of Compliance Agreements. Please carefully read through these agreements as well as our Return to Play Safety Plan below before completing your registration. Thank you.

Things may look a little different when you return to gym, so we've put together a quick video to help you understand new entry and exit procedures as well as some of the safety changes we've made in response to COVID-19. Please take some time to review with your gymnasts before your first class. A huge shout out to Krysta I. and Hanna P., two of our coaches and senior competitive team members for putting this video together for us! |
